Ad hoc Committees are committees that are not a standing committee or a committee with established terms.

Ad hoc committees can be established when council chooses to explore a particular issue. These committees will normally conclude with a report being presented to council based on the knowledge the Ad hoc committee has accumulated about the particular issue being explored.
