Elections
Elections are held each year in the winter term for positions with Students' Council which begin at the start of the upcoming summer term. Positions are for a 12 month period.
Nomination forms (below) are due in the Federation of Students Main Office.

Nomination forms for UW Senate positions are available from the Secretariat (x36125) and from the Secretariat At least five nominators are required in each case.
Key Dates:
Nomination Period - start sometime in November (change rules)
- end January 14th (Thursday) 4pm
Interim Preparation Period – January 14th 4pm – 10am January 26th
Campaigning Period – January (10am) 26th- February 8th (4pm)
Polling Period – (10 am) Tues Feb 9 – Thursday Feb 11 (10 am)
All Candidates Meeting – January 14th SLC room 2105B* 4:00pm – 5:00pm.

Results Announcement – (Tentatively) Feb 12th 12pm to 130pm SLC MPR is booked.
Election Results will be posted online to FedsPulse within one week of close of polling.
Election Debates:
- For the debates (10am-4pm, Great Hall)
Jan 18, 21, 22, 25 are all tentative dates. 3 Debates will be planned choosing from these times.
Anyone considering running for any positions should consult Council Procedure 6 on Election Rules.
2010 Election Candidates Package - basic "how to" information on FEDS/UW Election Rules for candidates in the Students' Council, FEDS Executive, and UW student Senate elections. Prior to the close of polling candidates must submit their declarations of spending. For ease, some candidates may prefere to use the standard campaign expense form Standard Expense Form.
The Election Committee is comprised of the following persons:
John Andersen (chair; FEDS Executive Researcher/Assistant), and four other members to be elected by Students' Council.
